Paris Saint-Germain have begun planning the unveiling of Neymar as a member of their club.

PSG hopes to finalize a £197 million ($260 million) transfer by the end of this week.

A five-year contract has been finalized for several days. 

When PSG signed Zlatan Ibrahimovic, they introduced hi at the Trocadero with the Eiffel Tower behind him. The club is planning something even bigger for the introduction of Neymar.

Manchester United has agreed to buy Nemanja Matic from Chelsea on a three-year deal.

“Nemanja is a Manchester United player and a José Mourinho player. He represents everything we want in a footballer; loyalty, consistency, ambition, team player," said Matic.

“I would like to thank him for his desire to join us because without that, it would be impossible to have him here. I am sure our players and supporters will love him. A big welcome to our new number 31.”

Matic said: “I am delighted to have joined Manchester United. To work with José Mourinho once again was an opportunity I couldn’t turn down.

“I have enjoyed my time at Chelsea and would like to thank the club and the fans for their support. I cannot wait to meet my new team-mates and to start training with them.This is a very exciting time for the club and I am looking forward to playing my part in creating more history for this great club.”

Matic’s signing represents a significant boost to Mourinho after United failed in their efforts to purchase Eric Dier from Tottenham Hotspur.

Rafa Benitez is pursuing a transfer for Lucas Vazquez of Real Madrid.

Vazquez would receive regular playing time with Newcastle, who were promoted back to the Premier League.

Real Madrid already will find it difficult to play Vazquez and are also pursuing Kylian Mbappe.

Antonio Conte admitted he would buy Harry Kane if he could acquire any striker. Conte's comments followed Chelsea's £58 million purchase of Alvaro Morata.

“Tottenham is a really good squad if they are able to keep all the players,” said Conte. “For me, Kane, now, is one of the best strikers in the world. If I had to buy one striker I would go to Kane. He is a complete striker.

“He is strong physically, with the ball, without the ball, he fights and he’s strong in the air and acrobatic on the right and the left. He’s a complete player. He’s one of the top strikers in the world. If you go to buy Kane now it would be at least £100 million. At least. For me, if I see this price for a striker I know for sure he’s a big striker.”

Kane has scored 93 goals over the past three seasons.

Paris Saint-Germain are attempting to accelerate a transfer for Neymar.

The deal is expected to cost PSG a sum of $260 million plus €30 million per year in salary.

PSG believes the longer negotiations drag on, the more likely it is Neymar will remain with Barcelona.

Barcelona have remained firm in their position that Neymar will remain at Camp Nou.

Lionel Messi, Luis Suarez and Gerard Pique have been active in attempting to persuade Neymar to remain with Barcelona.

Manchester United are prepared to pursue Gareth Bale should he become available.

Jose Mourinho has expected Real Madrid to keep Bale, but reports in Spain suggest he could be moved if Kylian Mbappe is purchased.

Madrid have offloaded Alvaro Morata to Chelsea and James Rodriguez to Bayern Munich.

Bale wants to remain with Real Madrid but he could face a reduced role with Mbappe.

Mourinho confirmed this week that he wants "an attacking player to play through the wings" as one of two additional signings before the close of the transfer window.

Ross Barkley has informed Everton he will not sign a new contract with the club.

Barkley “is looking for a new challenge” at the age of 23.

Ronald Koeman expects Barkley to be sold.

Tottenham Hotspur have been linked to Barkley with a £50 million asking price.

Everton have embarked on an extensive and expensive recruitment drive this summer but it is not over, with Gylfi Sigurdsson still a target despite Swansea City’s insistence on £50 million.

The LA Galaxy have agreed to sign Jonathan dos Santos to reunite him with his brother Gio do Santos.

The Galaxy are paying $5 million to Villarreal. 

Details of Dos Santos' contract are unknown, but one league source tells Goal Dos Santos will be on a deal which would put him in the $2-$3 million range.

The Galaxy had been in the market for a big-money striker, with Zlatan Ibrahimovic, Andre-Pierre Gignac and Dario Benedetto all linked to the Galaxy, but the Dos Santos acquisition will likely put the search for a striker to the side.

Manchester City are making a late bid to try to complete a world-record transfer for Kylian Mbappe.

Real Madrid has long been believed to be the eventual landing place for Mbappe.

City are looking to secure a potential €180 million ($209.6 million) bid.

City are prepared to match any offer and any deal for Mbappe.

Real Madrid believe they are nearing a deal with Monaco to buy Kylian Mbappe for €180 million ($210.5 million).

Monaco have denied the report from Marca that a deal has been agreed upon.

Sources at Real Madrid insist to The Guardian they are optimistic that a definitive deal is close. Mbappé would join on a six-year deal worth around €7 million a year.

Real Madrid have raised over €100m in sales this summer, with Álvaro Morata joining Chelsea and Danilo signing for Manchester City, while James Rodríguez has gone to Bayern Munich on loan.
